explanation: Located on the northern skirt of Mt Fuji, in Yamanashi prefecture, it has developed as shrine town of Sengen-jinja and post town of Kamakura road which had connected Kofu and Kamakura. Silk cloth of the region is well known. It is also a tourist base for Mt Fuji and lake Kawaguchi located nearby. You can get there via Fujikyu railroad or branch of Chuo expressway from Otsuki city.
